Operating Recommendations

Starting Conditions for CNC & Precision Finishing

Use light contact pressure and confirm stable, runout-free rotation before machining.

60,000Max. RPM

Maximum permissible spindle speed.

≤30,000Typical Speed

Due to the high grinding performance, speeds up to 30,000 RPM are sufficient for most applications.

≈1 NTarget Force

Apply light contact pressure during finishing.

<5 NForce Limit

Keep the applied force below 5 N during use.

✓ CNC READYMachine Use

Suitable for CNC machines when operated within the specified conditions.

Important: Start conservatively and optimize through an application trial. Before starting work, perform a test run and confirm that there is no runout, abnormal vibration or other abnormality.

CNC Setup

Recommended Setup Procedure

01 — Check
Confirm Runout

Perform a test run before contacting the workpiece. Stop if runout, vibration or any abnormality is observed.

02 — Start Light
Use Low Contact Force

Target approximately 1 N. Do not exceed 5 N during use.

03 — Optimize
Tune the Application

No fixed feed or DOC is prescribed. Adjust feed, contact and process time based on the actual material and required finish.

Technical FAQ

Ceramic Diamond Stone — Frequently Asked Questions

What does the grit number represent?

The grit designation refers specifically to the grain size of the diamond abrasive.

What bond is used in the stone?

The diamond abrasives and ceramic fibers are bonded with epoxy resin.

Can the Ceramic Diamond Stone be used on CNC machines?

Yes. CNC use is suitable when the stone is operated within the specified speed and contact-force conditions.

What RPM should be used?

Maximum speed is 60,000 RPM. Because of the high grinding performance, operating speeds up to 30,000 RPM are sufficient for most applications. No manufacturer-stated minimum spindle speed is specified.

What are the exact diamond particle size and concentration?

Exact particle size in microns and diamond concentration for each grit are proprietary manufacturer information and are not disclosed.

Is a harder or stronger bond available?

A harder or stronger bond specification is not currently offered, and this customization is not available in the short term.
